Age Friendly Community Partnership
Encore's Age Friendly Community Partnership certifies that businesses, organizations, and institutions in the Times Square / Hell's Kitchen areas are welcoming environments for older adults. The Age Friendly Community Partnership is a commitment to help Encore ensure that older adults feel connected to community and have access to social services and healthy meal choices.
The AFCP is a commitment to help Encore ensure older adults do not feel isolated, have access to healthy meal choices, and social services. Organizations can become AFCP partners and show their level of support by joining 1 of our 3 Tiers of community engagement.
Encore will promote all AFCP orgs to our 3000 + older adult members as establishments they can trust to make the neighborhood a friendlier place to age!
There are 3 “tiers” that recognize AFCP businesses and institutions for their contribution to supporting older adults in the community.
TIER 1
Businesses and establishments agree to post fliers and share information about how to access Encore and general older adult services.
INCENTIVES
Encore will promote your partnership/committment to older adults to our 3000+ members.
TIER 2
Businesses and establishments agree to provide volunteers for Encore Services or Special Events.
INCENTIVES
Receive a “Certificate of Affiliation.” Encore will promote the business partnership, and the benefits you are bringing to the larger older adult community with its 3000+ members..
TIER 3
Businesses and establishments commit to offer services, food or goods to older adults at a discount.
INCENTIVES
Benefits from tiers 1 & 2 as well as monthly acknowledgement in a newsletter or on our web page/social media of local businesses who have donated in the month (Ex. St. Francis Church’s donated small gift bags for Christmas).
